Our story begins in the small town of Abbeville, Alabama, where Jon Carroll, in 1984 borrowed $1,000 in high school selling hot dogs and burgers out of a converted cattle trailer. After his first year at college he dropped out using money saved to purchase real estate and build a small convenience store and commercial with the help of his uncle, a contractor. He then leased the buildings and returned to complete his education, earning degrees in architecture and landscape architecture with honors.

He went on to practice architecture and planning for fifteen years, serving as both a county and regional planner before joining the hedge fund Cornerstone Capital. Beginning with just $1,000 and a hot dog stand, forty years later has grown into a family office managing a portfolio of real estate investments. Our mission simple to quote our founder:
